I fucking hate spiders! Why does it always have to be me???

Now I'm sitting on the edge of my bad, scared shitless, and nearly in tears. (I cried already after the initial shock was gone...). I was just lying on my bed, surfing the internet. When I looked back I say a really huge spider sitting on my wall. I had to get my father out of bed so he could kill it for me.

Now I'm having fantasies about big spider-colonies in and underneath my bed. How am I supposed to sleep in such a state???

I hate this phobia! This fear! But I just can't do anything about it. *sigh*

Now I have to read fanfic to distract myself and have some happy-thoughts...

oh sweetie. i feel you. i really do. my phobia is SO bad. i cried when i was kid while reading charlotte's web in class. then cried again 20 years later when i tried reading it as an adult. i'm almost 30 and i STILL have to have people kill spiders for me! :D

it's so weird, i can't be in the same room as a spider, but i can kill centipedes like there's no tomorrow. and most people find those so much more gross then spiders...but not me. *shivers with you*

i think reading fanfic till your eyes get tired will help. that's what i do when i'm in your situation.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has moments like this. Everybody I know kind of makes fun of my phobia or just doesn't understand it.
Sometimes I don't understand it myself.

I don't know of I could kill a centipede... I never had to, but I'm not very fond of bugs either.
Every animal with more than 4 legs creeps me out. Except ladybugs... They're cute.
